Tendon

Collagen fibers of the epimysium, perimysium, and endomysium come together. The tendon attaches to the muscle to bones.

Muscle

Connective tissue called epimysium sits on each individual muscle. Attaches to bones.

Fasicle

The fasicle contains a bundle of muscle fibers and also contains endomysium which is thin connective tissue that is around all the muscle fibers in the fasicle

Muscle Fibers

Straited muscle tissue and it also contains sarcomeres and myofibrils. It also contains satellite cells which contain nerves in them. There are also muscle fiber nuclei which is specific to skeletal muscle.

Sarcomere

A unit of myofibril in a striated muscle. It contains thick myosin filaments, thin actin filaments, z-discs, and myofilaments. It also contains actin filaments which can work with myosin heads to contract the muscle.

Myosin

A fibrous protein that is the thick filament in sarcomeres and forms together with actin to make the muscle contract. There is a myosin head and a tail. The head connects to actin (thin) filaments to contract the muscle.
