ALARMS

STEP 1

STEP 1

1st Set

1st Set:

Waking Up

The first set of alarms will be set 15 minutes prior to my actual time to wake up. Depending on the event, I usually wake up 30 minutes to an hour before what I have to attend.

EX: PT at 0630 at the company, I would aim to wake up around 0545. So I'd set my alarms at 0530, 0535, 0540, and 0545.

Getting Ready and Heading Out

2nd Set:

Getting Ready & Heading Out

The second alarm set would be for me to get ready and/or head out, as in daily hygiene and breakfast.

Getting ready usually takes 15 minutes or so. So using the previous example, I would be dressed and eaten a snack at 0600.

The Reminder

3rd Set:

The Reminder

This last alarm will be for if I'm running late, forgetful, or anything else that may cause me to be late or behind schedule.

This one would be set 5 minutes after my desired leave time.

0600 is when I want to leave. 0605 would be this alarm.

STEP

2

Overestimate

STEP 2

Overestimating

What does this mean?

Overestimating is better than underestimating. So when taking time into account, I should always overestimate. If traffic, on average, takes 10 minutes, add another 10 onto that.

STEP

3

Get Ready...

No, really. GET READY.

STEP 3

Truly, truly, truly getting ready

Truly getting ready

You can never be "too" ready. So I could reduce the time it takes for me to get ready in the morning by getting ready earlier. No, not by waking up early. I'll be prepping the night before. Getting my keys, wallet, and clothes I'm changing into in one place. That way, when I wake up in the morning, they'll all be there. In one spot.
