Definition of 3D modeling

What is 3D Modeling?

3D modeling is the process of developing a mathematical coordinate-based representation of any surface of an object in three dimensions via specialized software by manipulating edges, vertices, and polygons in a simulated 3D space

Model Types

03

There are three major types of 3D models types: solid, wireframe, and surface. We base them on the methods and techniques used to create different 3D objects.

the importance of topology

Modeling Techniques

The topology shows how well in your 3D model vertices it is organized. The better everything is done, the easier and faster it will be possible to work with your 3D models. So, it is essential that you maintain a good, clean topology when building your 3D models.

  • Faces-flat surface with four sides
  • vertices- two lines come to a point
  • Edges-the touching of two faces and connection to vertx

Working with vertices, edges, and faces.

Extrusion and scaling

  • Extrusion- is the act of elongating a surfsace in a single direction
  • Scaling -is making the whole object bigger in all axis

How does blinder us it?

Blender allows textures to influence materials in various ways, such as altering their colors. Multiple textures can interact with each other to produce interesting effects. Note that textures have to be attached to materials to affect objects, you cannot apply a texture to an object without a material.

Materials and Texturing

How does blinder Render?

3D rendering is the process of creating a photorealistic 2D image from 3D models. 3D rendering is the final step in the process of 3D visualization, which involves creating models of objects, texturing those objects, and adding lighting to the scene.
