- The system Checks from the Data Lake if Joe is an Existing customer or a new customer.
- Joe logs in to EK website or Mobile App
- Searches for a flight
- Books a ticket
- Booking is successful
- CASE 1: Joe is an Existing Customer
- If Joe is an existing customer, the system checks the following for Joe:
- Does Joe have a meal preference?
- What was the last meal ordered by Joe.
- CASE 1-A: A meal preference or a previous meal is found for Joe in the system:
- The system returns a meal suggestion to Joe, that is either the same or closest match to the meal he had previously ordered.
- CASE 2: Joe is NOT an Existing Customer
- If Joe is Not an existing customer, the system collects Joe's meal preferences, through a series of prompts, then saves them to the Data Lake.
