Some of the dangerous impacts of deforestation inclued: extremely damaged flora and fauna, climate change, soil erosion, and disruption in the fragile water cycle.
Who loses
In the end, after years and decades (maybe even centuries?), nobody will win. Nobody will come out alive; even our precious planet earth will die.
Who benefits?
The only beings that benefit from deforestation are humans. It may provide lumber, employment, and more land to live on, but the long term effect on the enviroment, ecosystem, and animals (including us) is fatal and dangerous.
When it comes to the dying of an ecosystem the temporary
benefits will NEVER outweight the costs. That's like a drug
addict claming because the drugs feel nice now, it will never
effect their health later on in life!
Some alernatives to this on-going crisis are:
1. Reforestation! - this may take time, and even effort, but it's never impossible!
2. Joint Organization - protection agencies and environmental programs can join and make a common goal of preserving, restoring, and protecting forests
3. Land use planning - communaties/the goverment can take land that has been deforested and either create new opputunies or reforest!
The colossal importance of this topic is extreme, to the least, and if we don't make even an relevent effort towards fixing this issue or anything at this point, the ecosystem will die.
