The Universe and Solar System
Overview
OVERVIEW
- Everything that you see is just a small part of the Universe- from dust in your room to the stars that you see in the night sky.
- These are all part of a very vast, complex, and mysterious universe that scientists hope to understand.
- One of the greatest mysteries of the universe is its origin.
- Since no one witnessed the actual beginning of the universe, scientist can only reconstruct the events based on evidence that are available.
What is Universe?
- The Universe is everything we can touch, feel, sense, measure or detect.
- It includes living things, planets, stars, galaxies, dust clouds, light, and even time.
- The Universe contains billions of galaxies, each containing millions or billions of stars.
