The Inventor of the Steam Engine
Thomas Newcomen
- Mr.Newcomen was a British engineer but was known for his famous invention of the Steam Engine
- He was born in Dartmouth, Devon, England, in February 1664
- Growing up as a young fellow Thomas had a merchant family which owned things and stuff going for themselves
- In his early life of the year 1685 he became an ironmonger and later discovered traditional methods leading to how he made steam pumps
When he created the Steam Engine
- The first Steam Engine made by Thomans Newcomen was created in 1712
- 21 years later which was in the year of 1733 it was announced that over 100 engines was in use
Where it first was built/sold at
Where
- The first Steam Engine was created at a workshop called the Coneygree Coal Works
- The first 100 was sold and used in the UK and abroad
- It was invented when Thomas Newcomen started using a pump by hand to raise water by the condensending of steam
- It was used from the hot steam that boiling water created to control and drive a piston then as movement was proceeding into the piston power was applied to a machine

- It it known now for making transportation for products and goods faster
- It also helps the process of material trading and transportation faster such as when building cities and stuff for a bigger and better society and open world
