  • Owned by Mr Izuwan Bin Rabaie
  • The company sells and specializes in serving premium and delicious fruit-based milkshake and smoothies in various flavors.

  • Not a strategic location but the rental is cheap
  • Limited workforce
  • Production is done manually, without machine
  • Do not have a sufficient capital to opened up a new branch
  • Only taking supplies from distributors because they do not have big storage
  • Inexperienced in employee management and HR documentations
  • Weak branding and need more marketing efforts and also lack of brand awareness

Market Research & Data Collection.

  • Market survey on Thirst been done by using Google Form
  • Total 111 responses had been collected and analysed.
  • The online survey purpose is to know about the consumer perception towards Thirst Milkshake brand

  • Only 38.7% are familiar with the brand
  • 49% agreed that current menu should be expand more.
  • Almost half of the responses, 43.2% are not following Thirst social media.
  • Most of the responses, 65% agreed that The Hills outlet are convenient to visit

Final Verdict with Client

Client Decision

After the online presentation on proposed solution with Mr Izuwan, the owner of Thirst Milkshake Malaysia. These are his verdict for our whole project:

Client Final Decision of our POPBL

First of all, our client, Mr Izuwan said that he satisfied with both of our proposed ideas and interested to implement its for his business but unable to do it right away due to the financial constraint that his business are having now . Thus, he choose to do the referral program first because the cost is much lower compared to another solutions, vehicle branding which incur more money. But he still accepted both of our ideas and will use both of our proposed solution to his business later in the nearest future. In short, these are his final comment about our whole consultation session with Thirst Milkshake Malaysia:

  • Accepted both of the proposed solution, (Membership card & Vehicle Branding).
  • Satisfied and impressed with our group performance throughout the whole project consultation duration.
  • Our groups was the best group to be working and consult with according to the client.
  • Appreciated and thankful to our group for choosing and helping their business

  • List and detailed the social media influencer profile in the Kuching area and provided by highlighting the prospective and costing according to Thirst’s budget.

  • The social media giveaway contest been held in conjunction with Sarawak Day to have better flow of the contest and also its reach the target audiences successfully.

  • Reduce Thirst’s workloads in researching, shortlisting, contacting and compiling the details of these social media influencers.
  • Can be used in the long-run for next marketing campaign, which is to expand to the Chinese market and other promotional activities.

  • Overall impact could not be evaluated yet (Giveaway contest is still on-going)
  • Consulted Thirst on how to run an interesting giveaway contest
  • Created attractive copywriting
  • Managed to change Thirst’s poster from a dull on to a fun and colourful poster
  • Sustainable idea as Thirst can recycle and improvise the suggested proposals in the future

Challenges

  • Slow response from both social media influencers and Thirst itself
  • Thirst did not show up for meeting
  • Delay in designing the giveaway poster - causes delay in the scheduled plan

  • Managed to consult Thirst despite all the challenges and time constraints
  • Hoped for our e-service learning are beneficial for Thirst in order to improvise their social media presences and increase their brand awareness.
