~ Greek mythology emphasises the importance of good deeds mortals perform on earth.

~ Greeks believed that mortals could never be able to reach deity status, so instead they would have to do good deeds on earth to honour the gods during their time on earth.

~ However, the Romans believed mortals should aspire to be like the gods they worshipped. The reason they aspired to be like the gods was to live life the right way. Another reason they believed this was because they also believed in the afterlife and they believed that they would have a better afterlife if they did good deeds during the time they were on earth.
