The producers in my system include willow, moss, lichen, grass, labrador tea foxberry,and the pasque flower.

ATP is very important because it is the main source of energy for these organisms.

The animals in my food web will live in the arctic climate. The average winter temperature will be around -30° F, while the average Arctic summer temperature will be around 37-54° F. There will be two seasons, winter and summer. There will be low precipitation throughout the year, but still plenty of snow. There will be full days of sunlight in the summer and low amounts of sunlight in the winter, with some days receiving none.
The arctic fox lives in burrows in the ground. They may also dig into the snow for a quick shelter. They don’t need much water and get what they do need from their prey.
My animal lives with very small groups of other arctic foxes, but does not hunt with them.
Arctic foxes are small animals, so they only need enough space for them to be able to sleep.
Water cycles through the ecosystem through animals, which is how arctic foxes get their hydration needs.
My system is open because there are inputs coming in but no outputs going out.

Feedback loops like increased reproduction when a population is low will sustain the system.
The populations include families of the animals in the arctic. The community is all of the animals in the entire system. The ecosystem includes all the animals plus the abiotic features like water and terrain. The biosphere is the arctic climate.
