This video helps give the kids more background knowledge about the parts of the plants and why they function in certain ways.
Once the seed has been watered and fertilized enough it sprouts out roots, anchoring the seed into the ground. The roots are what are going to hydrate the plant and give it energy!
This is the pretty part of the plant that blooms at the tip of the stem!
Think of the leaves as the arms of the plant. The plant uses its leaves to grab its food like humans use their arms to grab their food. Instead of grabbing a sandwhich though, the leaves grab sunlight. This is then turned into food for the plant to help it grow!
The stem of the plant is kind of like its body. While it protects the plant as a whole, it works with the roots to send nutrients and energy up to the flower and leaves.
