According to a 2017 National Survey by Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Administration, about 18.7 million people in the US have experienced a substance use concern.

In 2016, New Jersey served over 75,000 clients in substance use treatment (NJ DHS, 2017).

There is a 23% increase of job prospects in the addiction field.

MSU offers a program of study which provides the foundation of addiction counseling.
