Let's identify what we know and need to know to answer the driving question.
Work with your student team to fill in the chart together. You can always rewatch the video, if needed. Be prepared to share your discussion points with the class.
Remember your charts will change. As you learn about the nature of science this semester, you will be able to move items from the "Need to Know" to the "Know."

Use rubrics to help guide you through working with others and developing the final product. Scoring yourself along the way can help as you try to revise and perfect your product.
You will be required to present your altered book to the class. Use the oral communication rubric to practice your presentation.
Although each student will produce their own altered book, students will work together throughout the semester. Use this rubric to guide your work, during these collaborative times.
Use this rubric to evaluate your critical thinking process throughout the project. This may be especially helpful as you think about your interpretation of your product for the art show.
Throughout the first semester, you will be asked to reflect on your own learning and offer feedback to classmates to help in their own reflection process.
Good Reflection & Feedback Starts Here:
Work with a partner to reflect on your work and the work of others. Try to work with a new partner every week. Use these reflection times to support revision and modification to your altered book.
Use the form provided to offer feedback to each member of the class. Remember to be respectful and kind in your critique of another's work.
The class will:
Each student will display their own altered book along side a typed interpretation of each page of the book.
