Install Custom Fonts

1. Create Font Folder

Open the Data (D) drive of your computer and create a new folder called "YourNameFonts".

You then need to place the fonts you have downloaded into this folder - you can update this throughout the year with all the fonts you discover and use in your projects.

2. Nexus Font

2. Nexus Font

For all PC rooms (such as Lab 2) we need to use "Nexus Font" to install fonts. This program gives us a loophole which allows us to use custom fonts that we find on the internet.

The first thing you need to do is Right Click

in the Library and "Add Group". Name

this group "Custom Fonts".

Note: Once we have installed

fonts using "Nexus" we

need to have the

software open at

all times - or else

the computer won't be

able to remember the Font and

it will disappear from your projects...

3. Link To Folder

Once you have your "Custom Fonts" group you need to Right Click

on it and "Add Folder".

You will be prompted to find the folder you made in Step 1.

Navigate to "This PC" > "Data (D)" > "YourNameFonts"...

3. Link To Folder

4. Use Font!

Once you have linked your fonts folder to the Nexus you can simply use the text tool in you favourite

software as usual!

If you find more awesome fonts, simply put them in

your Data (D) drive folder, navigate to Nexus and click your folder to update and then use as normal...
