consume time, money, and thoughts? What is popular

culture currently telling you about body image?

you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Identity

What does the Bible teach about our bodies and our identity?

Genesis 1:27; 4:7

So God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them.

personal thoughts

personal thoughts

What are your personal thoughts about how you can

be discerning in relation to your body image?

Colossians 3:17

body image is not only the way we dress, it involves who we are today and who we want to be in the future, it has a lot to do with the way the world sees us and as disciples of Christ we should use our body image to honor Him. In my opinion, I have a lot to change about my body image.

Health is one of the most important parts of body image, but what the world tells us today is that we can do whatever we want with our bodies. This is the greatest error, we have been made the image of Christ and our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

lifestyle choices

How might your decisions in this area affect your lifestyle choices and your

relationship with God as you “live in the waiting” (for Jesus to return)?

  • life is defined in making the right decisions at the right moments and with our body image is not different we should do everything thinking if it pleases God and live waiting for his return

1 Corinthians 10:31

31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
