Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine vision.

In general, AI systems work by ingesting large amounts of labelled training data, analysing the data for correlations and patterns, and using these patterns to make predictions about future states. In this way, a chatbot that is fed examples of text chats can learn to produce lifelike exchanges with people, or an image recognition tool can learn to identify and describe objects in images by reviewing millions of examples. AI programming focuses on three cognitive skills: learning, reasoning and self-correction.

Focusing on Voice Recognition, Advanced artificial intelligence (AI) is used to convert vocal inputs into large amounts of machine-readable data. Voice recognition refers to the ability of a machine to receive, interpret, and carry out speech commands. The technology gained prominence with the rise of Artificial Intelligence and voice assistants. Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri, and the Google Assistant are some prominent examples used most in today’s society. One of the main advantages of AI is that it may improve its accuracy over time by learning from errors and exceptions that occur. It should be possible for a machine to translate spoken words into written text with a moderate to high degree of accuracy. Since the error-correction procedure takes longer than manual transcribing or typing, inaccurate recognition is useless and frequently counterproductive to productivity. When the software properly recognises 70 out of every 100 words spoken, it is said to have an accuracy level of at least 70% and is therefore regarded "excellent."
