Fun facts

Smoke is a mixture of particles that are suspended in the air.

Tap water is a mixture of water and other particles.

Many of the substances we come into contact with every day are mixtures including the air we breathe which is a mixture of gases like oxygen and nitrogen.

Compounds

#3

A compound is substance made up of different elements joined together by a chemical bond. This bond is called a Covalent bond or another name for it is Molecular bond.

Fun facts

Fun facts

All these 5 things are compounds

Common salt.

Water.

Soap.

Baking soda.

Sugar.

Atoms of more than one type of element can bond together and form compounds. The three main types of bonds are ionic, covalent, and metallic. These distinct types of chemical bonds form distinct types of substances.
