Identify if the student is in need of special education services.

The IEP is written up during the meeting to match all of the students needs a requirements to succeed. The parents have a say on what goes into the IEP and if the parents disagrees they can work an agreement out.

The child is reevaluated every 12 months to see what needs to be changed in their IEP. Or to see if they still need an IEP. The parents are notified of the evaluation and all changes.
