How I created my Artifact
I made my technology artifact on Microsoft Word. I researched Important parts of technology and much more and then added it all to a Crossword as it is a much more fun way to learn then just memorizing all the stuff about technology. I used a picture for the background which would look cool and add a pop of color to my crossword. Then I played around with some puzzle settings and then ended up by decreasing the transparency so that the image could be seen behind the puzzle. Then I decided on a thin border for the page and a glowing title. It was easier to make since I have so much experience using Word, and it was fun to learn about technology since I enjoy learning about it so much. After completing this crossword I had expanded my knowledge a lot about technology and learned a lot more about Microsoft word as-well I used new features and new tools to bring together my artifact, and everything that I have learned about technology right now will help in the future years when I take computer science.

Throughout this course I have learned a-lot about computers and programming. A computer can be easily used to contact family and find information online. A computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program. We have used CS First to do Programming to make games online. CS First is an easy to use computer science curriculum designed for students to learn coding basics.

How I made my Computer Artifact
I made my computer artifact on Microsoft Word. I researched Important parts of a computer and more and then added it all to a Crossword as it is a much more fun way to learn then just memorizing all the parts of a computer and their definitions. And then I made a QR code for the answer key and a QR code for the Computer Parts Video that I used to make this crossword.

The artifact you saw was only a glimpse of my Quest Game. I made the whole game in CS First using code blocks. The coding blocks I used were mostly If statement blocks which basically makes my whole game. I have a total of 7 characters and 2 main players. I have used If statements to add music to my game and change colors in some parts of my games. I have used a total of 10 scenes in my whole game. I have also used a number of different code blocks as well. All of these learning targets that I have achieved in this unit will help me in the future when I take computer science, as it has expanded my knowledge on programming and coding.

Web Design is as simple as it's name. You Design a Website. We designed web pages in web design and the following is my final Web Page. We created our web pages using Brackets and we used the HTML markup language. There are many programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, C, C++ and many more. But we used the HTML markup language. If you don't know what a markup language is, it essentially just give's the computer declarative instructions.

I started off by creating a web page with the help of a HTML tag which was formatted this way: <html> and after that I added many more tags such as the title tag and background color tag and Image tags and many more as you will be able to see in my Artifact code and then we always have to end with the </html> as all the information and all the other tags have to be inside of the this tag to show up on the Web Page itself. Have a look at the next slide to see all of the tags and coding I did. I have learned and grown a lot of my skills using BRACKETS. Not have I only learned web design but I also learned the basics of using programming languages and it will help me in the future a lot as I am taking computer science and might be taking web design as now that I have done it interests me a lot and I might take it next year in grade 10, and maybe even continue with it.

In Video Editing I have used multiple effects and clips to make my final artifact. I have used a motion tracking element, green screen element, text element, and finally a character introduction element in the making of this artifact. These are most of the elements that we learned on how to use them and I tried my best to incorporate all of them into my artifact. Motion Tracking I would say is the hardest out of all of the other elements and I was able to incorporate it into all parts of my artifact. Motion Tracking is when you track a certain part of your clip and add something onto it which will follow the path that you earlier tracked. Sometimes it can be really difficult to track something as some things are hard to track and they need to be perfect to track.In Video Editing I have used multiple effects and clips to make my final artifact. Microsoft Word is a widely used commercial word processor designed by Microsoft. On word you can create text documents and print them but you can also make shape art in it as we did. Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful presentation software designed by Microsoft. You can make Presentations and Charts on PowerPoint. Canva is an graphic design tool website, you can create almost anything on Canva. Prezi is a web-based tool for creating presentations its similar to PowerPoint but Prezi has animated templates which you can use.

I started out by adding my crossword to the Artifact and then started writing the clues to solve the puzzle. Then I added a picture off of the internet to my Artifact and placed it right behind the puzzle. Then I lowered the puzzles transparency so that the picture would show behind the puzzle and I ended off by adding QR codes and a border to my Artifact. Sure it sounds like a lot but the more you use it the better you get at it. Like I got at it. In the process of making this artifact I have learned more about word and also expanded my knowledge on Microsoft, and it is always a good thing to keep up with the latest updates on all the software's as it becomes really helpful in making projects for school projects.

I started off by choosing a info-graphic template in recommendations. Then I researched about all my subtopics and added all the info to my info-graphic and then I Searched the web for pictures matching the topic and added those to the info-graphic as well. And that's how I made my info-graphic, I know you might be thinking it's easy but it takes a lot of effort to research and time to put it all together. While making this artifact I have expanded my knowledge on Canva as to all the fun and exciting things I can make on Canva. I have been using Canva some of my school projects and I always enjoy learning more about it.

I started off by watching the tutorial video and then I choose this template to create my Portfolio. Then I wrote the title and added a bubble for each of my topics and then one by one I started adding information to each of my topics and at the end this is where I am at. I doesn't sound that hard but it takes a lot of work, effort, and time to create something this big. And with all the GIF's and Picture's all of it took 3 days in total to just add all of that. So now you can imagine how hard it is. This was my first time using Prezi and it was a really fun experience as I love learning about new software's online, and I can definitely imagine myself using Prezi for more projects in the future as it is a very fun way to make projects.

Microsoft Excel is an powerful data analysis software which we used to make the following artifact. Excel calculates data with simple formula functions, which saves a lot of time and is an easier way to calculate data.

How I created my Artifact
Excel has many features but in this artifact we used formula functions which helped us calculate the following : Average, Highest Revenue, and Lowest Revenue. For average we used the average function, for Highest Revenue we used Max, and for Lowest Revenue we used Min. We formatted the functions this way: =AVERAGE(B3:B12), =MAX(B3:B12), and =MIN(B3:B12) and that automatically calculated the answer for us. Excel makes calculating way easier and saves a lot of time. I have not used Excel many times before but learning about it now makes me feel how did I not use this earlier as it is such a more effective way to make tables and charts and use formulas online and it saves so much time that I can use to make my project better. I can definitely see myself using it in the future and learning more about it.

How I created my Artifact
In the following artifact I blended 2 separate pictures and got my beautiful artifact. I started by adding a layer mask to my 2 picture and then added a black and white gradient using the gradient tool, which then I used to blend both of the images from the middle. Then I removed all the color from my image by pressing Shift+Ctrl+U which then left me with a gray picture and therefore I added a New Fill layer and the color I chose was a nice purple tone, as you can see the Artifact. And then I ended with adding text to my Artifact which really brought out the beauty of my Artifact, and that's how I created my artifact. This year I have used Photoshop a lot like literally a lot and every time I have learned something new like blending pictures, photo frame effect, picture in picture, clip art and much more. I think I can never learn enough of Photoshop as it is full of such advanced tools and there are many more things that I still need to discover on Photoshop.

Blender is a free 3D creation software which we used to create the following artifact. In Blender you can create many 3D objects with many shapes and you can also add color to your creations and then you can 3D print them if you have a 3D printer. There are many tools in blender which help you design your object easily.

I started off by adding sphere's and resizing them so when they stack on each other it comes into a proper snowman. And then I added the color light blue so it pops out. Then for the eyes and buttons I re-sized the sphere's so they are really small and colored them black and added a cone and made it a bit smaller so it would fit in properly and I added on the color orange to it. For the hat I added 2 cylinders, the bottom of the hat I flattened it and the 2 cylinder I only made it smaller so that it would fit on top of the 1 cylinder and then I colored it black. For the hands all I did was add another cylinder but made it really skinny and tilted it and copied it and rotated it around and that is how I created my artifact. I have had so much fun in learning and building in blender and I think I am going to enjoy it so much next year in Graphic Design where I will get to learn in more detail about it and make more fun and amazing stuff.
How to Properly Organize your Files
File Manager
You should always Organize your files by topic as you can see in the artifact I organized my Files by class and then units so its easier for me to navigate through my files. And organizing them always saves me a lot of time when I need to find something really quick and I always know what I will find where. I put a title on all my file so I know what I will find where and where to save my documents after I am done working on something. And sometimes when my teachers check to see how my file management is I always get 100% because of my organizational skills. This year I have kept up with an organized one drive and I hope it's the same with next year where things are going to get more difficult. It is a goal which I can hopefully attain.
