She joined Kesari in early in 1984
In 2013 Kesari Tours faced a management crises in its leadership. Veena Patil who was Managing Director of the company at that time was forced to leave her position from the company. She then sold her Shares from the company and was starting to set up a new firm along with the other board director from the Kesari Tours Sudhir Patil and Sunila Patil
After that she started her own business in 2013 which name as "Veena Patil Hospitality Pvt Ltd."

Veena Patil Hospitality Pvt Ltd.( Veena World ) which is a private limited company. Sudhir Patil and Sunila Patil are directors. As of 2013 it is run by more than 250 employees. Its first branch office was opened on 18 June 2013 in Kandivali Mumbai. The head office is located in Mahim, Mumbai and the booking offices are also to open in Mahim Kandivali Ghatkopar, Thane, Vashi, Dombivali, and Pune.

She is prolific writer and a columnist, she turns out numerous articles and advertorials for several publications. Such is her fan following and fame that even in distant corners of the world she is a recognized face. She has authored several books on travel. Happy Journey, Off-Beat Europe, Popular Europe, Pravas Jagacha… Jaganyacha, Chalte Chalte and Veena's World series. The launch of her fourth book,'Pravas Jagacha… Jaganyacha', which took place at an altitude of 33,000 feet in an airplane en route to Mauritius found its way to Limca Book of Records.
