PYP Action Plan

Section A.

CULTURE AND ETHOS

  • Grade 6 (PYP Exhibition)
  • Grade 5 (Sharing the Planet - community service)
  • We give opportunities for the students to contribute to the community without always having face-to-face or person-to-person interaction, it can be done such as by sharing the resources for the community that are created by the students.

1. Plan one action related to community in all levels,

at least in one of the UOIs in a year

Outcomes:

  • ECE: LP Chart during Morning Meeting
  • LP reflection on Seesaw
  • LP as the WILF
  • Students’ Profile in report books (every semester)

2. Maintain the LP implementation in the classroom.

3. Add one criteria of LP attributes in the learning objectives that are shared to students (WILF)

  • Pre-service: PD about Best Practices (LP language in all teaching)

  • Language Profile survey at the beginning of the school year
  • Language Profile activities fortnightly on Monday morning
  • International mindedness is evident in the planner - this year the section is always empty on the planner

  • Collect information of parents' expertise to be the guest speakers in learning

  • Teacher shares the best practice of strategy in their classes (5 minutes sharing at the beginning of each PD)

2. OLC

  • During the planning sessions, Coordinators have also shared and discussed possible OLC activities
  • Additional classes/ Social Bond for PS classes after lunch

5. SEL:

  • SEL needs to be related with the UOI.
  • The counselors to set the format for the SEL and work with the teachers during the collaborative planning so it can be put in the UOI planner

5. All units in Gr 6 will be planned like the PYPX. Involving students to create the rubric will be started in Gr 4. Gr 1,2,3 can give input for the rubric - even in ECE. Self assessment and peer assessment have been started, more regularly next year.

6. Check the GMeet breakout room update to allow more flexible groupings in online learning

7. Students to choose their own transdisciplinary theme in PYP X

8. Continue to plan our units based on their prior knowledge that is supported by the pre-lessons research and students' questions. So, when we are in the unit, we are not starting from basic knowledge
