When and why

The Europeans came to Australia in 1606, thanks to the dutch navigator Willem Janzoon, and in 1788 they settled Sydney.

In 1776 the war for independence ensued, which meant the british did not have a convict colony anymore, therefore they used the opportunity to colonize Australia.

Family fights.

Alcoholism.

Smoking.

Crime.

Drugs.

Key Issues

Fights are a big problem. Because it lead to higher crime rate, a higher intake addicting substances.

The lack of hope, leads people to slack of, or step away from the righteous light, and in to the depressive darkness.

Challenges

The racism that lingers amongst people. The past still affects how they are viewed.

Comparatively, we have and easier time, than the First-nation people. We deal with less issues, and less serious issues.

Importance

Real and trustworthy relationships. Others having faith in you.

Our opinion

Our trust in others, to do the what we find correct. Having safe-space where in you feel safe.

The stolen generation

Different sources say different things, it lasted from 1860's some say, other say 1901, a whole different sources said it was from 1910, but they all agree on it ending in 1970.

European-blooded Australian stole first-nation people from their families, and culturally assimilated them in to proper Australians. They also denied them access to their roots, old families and history.

The apology, gave them the respect and recognition they deserved.

They learn about their roots, where they come from, what their story is, and what their history is, so that they could learn, both from their ancestors success, and failures.

We know pretty much about our culture, though of course we can learn more. Yes, its important to us because we should know the background of our country so i know why we live like we do.

1788- the first british settlement is settled.

1850's- The gold rush.

1860's- British cultural assimilation.

1960- First-nation peoples gain citizenship.

1962- First-nation peoples vote in their first federal election.

1985- Uluru returned.
