What is happening in the polar ice caps?
Climate change is causing global warming. This is making large masses of ice melt and really affecting the polar regions.

What causes climate change?
Climate change is caused by things including fossil fuels, carbon dioxide levels changing due to deforestation, and changes in the sun.
What do climate change and global warming do to the animals that live in the polar ice caps?
The animals that live in these areas are very greatly affected. Polar bears are one animal that is affected because the fish they eat is no longer as available to them so not as many can survive .
What else does global warming do.
Many bad things are caused by global warming including water shortages, droughts and fire threats.
What you can do to help.
Use renewable energy as much as possible.
Try not to put as many emissions into the environment by doing things like carpooling.
Recycle and reduce waste.
