259BC

Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi Was Born

In 259 BC, Ying Zheng was born. Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi's Father is King Zhuang Xiang of Qin,Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi's Mother is Queen Dowager Zhao, and Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi's Brother is Chengjiao who was born 3 years after Ying Zheng.

246-247BC

Emperor Qin Started Ruling

When King Zhuang Xiang died, he left his kingdom to Ying Zheng who became Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi. Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi thought about what would happen after he died, so he decided that what ever happened, he would be ready. That year he started building the terracotta army.

240BC and 227BC

In 240 BC, coup d'etat was attempted by his mother.

Jing Ke attempts to assassinate Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi and fails.

221 BC

Becomes China's First Emperor

In 221 BC, Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi decided to end warfare and unite China under his rule, becoming the first emperor. That same year, he wanted to make The Great Wall of China.

210BC

Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi Dies

Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi sent out people to search for elixirs before dying. Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi took one of the mercury pills and got poisoning, so sadly he died at age 49.

208 BC

The Terracotta Warriors was completed

Although Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi started the project at age 13, it was completed 2 years after his death. Their are 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses. Emperor Qin's tomb is buried with stones and artifacts and rivers of mercury.
