Women are subjected to harsh beauty standards

by: Nicholas Mejia

How the Media see women

"A society that shuns our awful confidence and feed us our own flaws"

How the Media see women

> Women are subjected to harsh beauty standards though Media because of roll models and what the general public thinks is attractive. Therefore can lead to women to unrealistic standards and only think of their own flaws.

> Women are taught to look beautiful though being skinny and pretty.

Media pulls us out, nurses us and teaches us our first words (skinny, pretty)

"I was taught to despise myself"

How women see them self

"The mirror is meant to be a curse"

> Women were taught to despise them self because of the general public opinion.

> Women are taught look at the mirror and see the flaws in them self and not the beauty.

> Women think that they have to be prefect when in reality they are.

"I was embarrassed about my body"

"I could belong to someone someday because that's the most important thing a little girl could ever want right?"

How men see women

"I kept myself beautiful so someone would love me someday"

>women think that if you don't have a man in your life you are worthless

>Women also think badly about them self towards men not liking them and would try to change their appearance to get men to like them...

> Men treat women who are beautiful differently towards the way they look if their not.

"Ruthless boys who told me I was worthless"
