Scientific Adaptations: Impeccable Iguanas from the Glorious Galapagos Islands

Lizards, which are an imperial group of reptiles that have reigned the four corners of the globe, are the specie of all species. It has been scientifically stated that there are more than four thousand versions of lizard across the world, and it could possibly be justified that the Galapagos Marine Iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus) is the most fascinating reptile of them all.

Introduction

Appearance: How could you identify the Galapagos Marine Iguana?

Camouflaging, subdues scales, becoming blue and green during mating season; a smooth face, that is sprinkled with dullness, and a flattened tail at the end of a prickly vertebrae: these are a few of the unique attributes of the iguana. Another three characteristics are their slick tails(that allows them to swim swiftly.) This enthralling creature hardens its skin so the predators struggle to bite them. Their algae is slippery so they have razor-sharp teeth and claws to grip on their appetites. Moreover, a storm forms and makes life harder. To resolve this, iguanas shrink and detach their tails-which decreases their stomach capacity.
