Introduction

MHC–PMS

INTRODUCTION.

MHC – PMS is a web-based system that focuses on establishing a repository for all the mental patients, it makes a repository that stores all the patient’s information and generates reports and warnings to follow up with patients.

The system has different workflows since it has different components and accounts

Workflows of the system

  • Doctors who preview patients and give information for reports as well as accepting appointments
  • Nurses who generate and public reports and warnings and check patients
  • Receptionists who focus on making appointments with patients
  • Administrators who control the other accounts in the system

Project scope

This project aims to develop a reliable management system that helps in following up mental patients and to improve and increase the focus on mental illness health care systems. This system is a web based system that must be implemented by front-end and back-end development with database connection.

  • A very early deadline because of corona-virus effects

  • The lack of similar systems to help in brainstorming

  • Difficulties in reaching mental illness doctors to have an idea of the difficulties of mental illness

  • Programming experience limitations

Project challenges and constraints

System environment

MHC – PMS is responsible for all of the following up and previewing mental health problems in a systematic and organized way.

The stakeholders of this system are doctors, nurses, patients, receptionists and administrator.

Project Software and Hardware Requirements

The minimum software and hardware requirements of the user to be able to access PHC-PMS.

To be able to log in and use this system, all the users must have internet connection, any available internet browser and any computer device or smart devices like phones and tablets with the ability to access the internet.

Software Engineering Process Model

System Model

The best process model for this system is the

Waterfall system model

, which is the system model for the plan-driven process.

Project Tasks and Scheduling

Project Tasks and Scheduling

Task software allows groups of users to work together more cohesively to quickly and thoroughly complete projects.

Project Tasks

Project Tasks

The MHC-PMS system is expected to take 14 months and from project approval to launch the MHC-PMS program.

The following is a high-level schedule of significant stations for this initiative:

Feb 2, 2020: Initiate Project

February 10, 2020: determine the requirement (functional , non-functional)

March 10 , 2020: started project design .

April 1, 2020: Implementation ( prototype).

Dec 1, 2020 :complete Implementation code .

Feb 1, 2020: System Testing .

April , 1,2021: Complete the project and Launch the site.

Project Monitoring and Management Methods

In order to succeed, we as a development team had to implement monitoring and evaluation phases, these phases cover all the techniques used to track and monitor the system. The main monitoring methods used are:

Project Monitoring and Management Methods

  • Regular weekly meetings.
  • Mapping
  • steps Preview.
  • Direct observation.
  • Keep following up and tracking the baseline(budgeted time and cost)

Functional Partitioning

Functional Requirement Definition

Functional Requirement.

Non-functional Requirement

In MHC-PMS the functionality is divided as follow:

Functional Partitioning

1- A patient can view his/her information , make appointments , cancel appointments .

2- Doctors can update on patient records , view patient records , create new patient records , cancel and delete records .

3- Administrative Manage appointment , cancel appointment , control the system based on the authority of the system.

4- Clinical staff : view and create records ,Fill the patient's record with his information.
