  • Kiosks are Redbox located through grocery stores, pharmacies and convenience store.
  • Charged consumers by the amount of days they rented the movie

Netflix

  • Able to get different service: streaming and DVD mail order
  • Founded by Reed Hasting and Marc Randolph in 1997
  • Business model to avoid late fees by having unlimited rentals
  • Netflix offered 49% stake of the company to blockbusters

Blockbusters

  • Renting videos and games at large stores like Blockbusters
  • Blockbuster rejected 49% stake from Netflix's offer
  • Started their own online subscription in 2004
  • Charged consumers late fees
