Harriet Tubman was a slave that escaped at a young age. She would help other slaves escape. She also worked as a spy and helped the Union during the Civil War.

Harriet Tubman was a Abolitnist, helping slaves escape through the underground railways, the same way she had escaped as a child. She continuesly risked her life to free slaves.

Her life was a hard one. She had lifelong scars from being whipped. She was once hit with a two pound weight and she had sezuries and severe headaches that she had to endure for the rest of her life.

Mary Todd Lincon was the first lady at the time of the Civil war. She was known to be diffrent, and more assertive than other women in the decade.

When Mary was little, she had a great intrest in politics, considering it was a popular topic of disscussion with her famliy. Her mother died when she was 7 a few hours after giving birth to Mary's brother. She often described her childhood as "Desolate".

Susan was a women who dedicated her life to fight for womens rights. She was extremly self-conscious , and never smiled when a photo was taken of her. She didnt smile because she wanted to be taken seriously. She grew up with 8 siblings, and taught in many schools when she was a adult.

Harriet Beecher was a Abolishnist who wrote the book "Uncle Toms Cabin". "Uncle Toms Cabin is also considered one of the causes of the Civil War

Harriet was many things, not only a advocate for womens rights. She supported the underground railroad, and was a author of over 30 novels, including the famous "Uncle Toms Cabin"
