The battle of bloody creek was fought during the French & Indian war.Acadia was a colony of New France at the time and the Abenaki was a tribe also living in the area. New France was trying to weaken the British so they had help from the Natives and attemped to ambush the British.The British had set up a regiment nearby when the Acadian and Abenaki militia ambushed the British.The Battle had occured in present-day Bridgetown, Nova Scotia.

The Battle had ended

A work team from the 43rd Regiment, which guarded Annapolis Royal, was attacked by an Acadian and Mi'kmaq army while they were cutting firewood.

To retrieve those held captive, a group of 130 troops led by Captain Peter Pigou was sent. The fighting had also started.

-This battle was planned by the French and Natives and suprised the British. The main objective from the French and the Natives side was to weaken the British's hold on the Annapolis Royal.

- The Natives were involved because they wanted to get revenge on the British for being cruel to them and taking their land.

- Overall, the conflict was fighting over land and revenge.

-The strategy was a blockade of Annapolis Royal and had resulted in the death or capture of the entire British army. Since they lacked the necessary equipment to successfully attack the fort, they gave up the siege when British reinforcements arrived by water.

- This battle was important because it honors the two battles that took place during the many years of struggle for control of Acadia between the British garrison at Annapolis Royal and its allies, the French and Aboriginal citizens.

-This battle hindered the cause of the British Crown because it was a suprise attack, and the British were not prepeared. They were outnumbered and didn't have enough weapons.

-Military strategists today can learn to always be prepared for ambush if they are in a curent war or dispute.

This battle is so important, that in 1930, they made it an historical site in Canada. It celebrates the fight between the British and the Annapolis Royal. We learned that the Abenaki militia beat up the British, and that the battle was in present day Canada. Overall, the British got ambushed and lost because they didn't have the right weaponarie.
