Bast stitch two rows of stitching, 5/8’s from edge and 3/8’s from edge.

Tie top threads together.

Tie bobbin threads together.

Pull the bobbin threads firmly, but gently until fabric is desired length.

Pin the fabric in place.

Sew 5/8’s from the edge of fabric. Be sure to backstitch.

Buttonhole

Written Instruction

Mark the fabric where you are placing the buttonhole with a marking pencil. Place the button in the buttonhole foot, and attach the foot to the sewing machine. Pull the buttonhole post down. Set the sewing machine set on BH1 beginning at the end of the line closest to you.(it will sew backwards) Press down on the foot pedal and let the sewing machine do the work. Once the buttonhole is finished being sewed. Carefully cut the hole in between the two columns with a seam-ripper.

Using the Embroidery Machine

Written Instructions

  • Iron the shiny side of the backing onto the wrong side of your fabric.
  • Choose the design you want and put the memory card into the Embroidery Machine.
  • Put the fabric in the loom right side up. Thread the top thread. Turn on the machine.
  • Lower the presser foot.
  • Set the machine to embroidery mode, select your design, and hit start.
  • Once the machine is done it will stop on it’s own. Removed the fabric from the loom and cut off all extra threads.
