In 1995 Kaczynski sent out a 35,000 anti- technology word essay to the media
This manifesto was called "Industrial Society and its Future"
In this essay he explained the problems of modern society.
He then threatened New York Times to publish his manifesto, if not he would blow up a plane.
The media ended up publishing it which in turn helped them in the long run.
