"Death ends a life, not a relationship"pg.174

Tuesdays with Morrie: Aphorism Final Project

-Travis Jacobs

"Death ends a life, not a relationship."pg.174

Literary Connection to Aphorism

Quote 1: "Tell you what, after I'm dead; you talk. And I'll listen." pg.170

Quote 1

This relates to my quote because when Morrie dies, Mich is going to go and talk to Morrie even though he's dead. When Mich talks with Morrie after he dies he is going to maintain the relationship they had in life.

Quote 2: " "Morrie," Koppel said "that was seventy years ago when your mother died. The pain still goes on?" " "You bet," Morrie said Pg.72

Quote 2

This connects to my quote because even though Morrie had lost his mother he still hurts because of the relationship they had.

Quote 3: [Talking to Mich] "He wants you to come and visit," Charlotte said, "but he's very weak." Pg.181

Quote 3

This quote relates to mine because even though Morrie is dying, he still wants to maintain the relationship he has with Mich.

Quote 4: "Love wins. Love always wins." pg. 40

Quote 4

This relates to my quote because even though someone that you loved or cared about has died the relationship that you had with them will never end because of your love for them.

Quote 5: "We're Tuesday people." pg.52

Even though Morrie is not dead yet, this quote means Mich and Morrie's relationship always grows on Tuesdays and when Morrie dies their relationship is going to live on.

Personal Connection to Aphorism

Grandma GG

Grandma GG

Swimming was a big thing that GG and my family would do in the summer. When we would visit her in the summer we would go hangout and swim for hours.

Even though she has died every time my family and I are swimming I think of her and that keeps our relationship alive.

Grandma Chris

When I would go over to her house and visit we would sometimes play cards, we would play a game called Garbage.

I keep the relationship alive every time I play Garbage because she was the one who taught it to me.

Grandma Chris

Grandma Toby

Every year we would go to the state fair with her and my cousins and we would ride the rides and she would walk around with us and take pictures.

We continue to remember her and the relationship we had with her by going to the state fair every year.

Grandma Toby

Scout

Scout

I remember the relationship with my old dog Scout when I go out and play in the backyard with my dogs I have now.

When I move out, the first dog I am going to get will be the same type as Scout and I will name them after him to remember him.

Nanny

Nanny

I remember Nanny with bingo. She was a really big fan of bingo. When I was younger I would paint pictures with her bingo dabbers.

When ever we play bingo I remember her because of the dabbers we use.
