Pandora's Box

The Myth

* The story of Pandora box begins with Zeus, Prometheus, and Epimethius.

* Prometheus and Epimethius were titans but they plagued there loyalty to the Olympians.

* Zeus awarded them for being loyal to the Olympians. He let them both have the job of naming the first creatures.

* Epimethius was in charge of the animals and gave them each there own protection.

* Prometheus made man, but there was no protection for them because Epimethius used all of them.

* Prometheus asked Zeus if he could give the humans fire.

* Zeus said no and that fire was only the gods.

* Prometheus did not listen and gave the men fire anyways. he punished Prometheus, but he did not think that that was good enough and wanted to punish the humans too.

* Zeus created a woman named Pandora. she was molded like Aphrodite, she revived many gifts.

* Zeus sent Pandora to marry Epimethius. as a wedding gift Zeus gave Pandora a box, but he told her to never open it.

* Pandora was created to be curious an could not help but open the box.

* this includes thing like greed, death, hunger, poverty and war. pandora quickly shut the box close and the only thing that was left in there was hope.
