Green technologies in ICT

Authors: Mukhaliyeva Diana Nurullayeva Dana.

What is green technologies?

What is green technologies?

Green technology is the application of one or more of environmental science, green chemistry, environmental monitoring and electronic devices to monitor, model and conserve the natural environment and resources, and to curb the negative impacts of human involvement. The term "green technologies" is also used to describe a class of electronic devices that can promote sustainable management of resources.

Green technologies in ICT is a technology that aims to create an environmentally oriented computer technology in which:

*the use of hazardous materials is reduced;

*maximizes efficiency;

*reduced power consumption;

*increases the life of the product;

*there are opportunities for repair and improvement;

*machinery parts have good Biodegradability properties.

What is green technologies in ICT?

Where did the concept of green technologies in ICT come from?

The concept of Green IT dates back to 1992, when the US environmental protection Agency launched the voluntary Energy Star labeling program, which helps save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by identifying products with increased energy efficiency.

Modern green computing includes many eco-technologies. Currently, these areas of development are on the crest of a wave and are developing as never before. The benefits of Green IT are being discussed as never before.

Advantages of green technologies in ICT.

Advantages

Reduce energy consumption and save money:

A decrease in energy consumption ultimately leads to a decrease in the consumption of fossil fuels — an exhausted resource that is used for power generation in power plants.

The use of green information technologies can reduce energy consumption and reduce the cost of operating equipment.

*Possibility of recycling.

Recycling materials saves energy, time, resources, and money, and also avoids the release of dangerous substances into the environment. Proper disposal of components is an integral part of Green IT.

*Eliminating the need to use some hardware.

In conclusion ,i want to say that Green information technologies allow both individuals and small and large businesses to save money. They allow you to develop, produce, use and dispose of computing tools with minimal harm to the environment.

Technology allows us to effectively use the resources that nature provides us. Regardless of what requirements consumers provide, green computing can improve productivity, reduce costs, and reduce environmental impact. All this is possible now, you just need to carefully approach the choice of information systems.
