"No human being could have passed a happier childhood than myself. My parents were possessed by the very spirit of kindness and indulgence. We felt that they were not the tyrants to rule our lot according to their caprice, but the agents and creators of all the many delights which we enjoyed. When I mingled with other families, I distinctly discerned how peculiarly fortunate my lot was, and gratitude assisted the development of filial love." (Shelley,19)

Self- Actualzation

Self-Actualization

“A mind of moderate capacity, which closely pursued one study must infallibly arrive at great proficiency in that study; and I, who continually sought the attainment of one object pursuit and was solely wrapt up in this, improved so rapidly…”(Shelly 30)

Books

Symbol

Victor found his self worth in the books and science. He wanted to create life and thats where he found his purpose and what he wanted to do with his life. Victor would have rather been alone while creating life rather than spending time with his family and the people that loved him

Self- Actualization

Self- Actualization

“‘ Man,’ I cried,’ how ignorant art thou in thy pride of wisdom! Cease: you know not what it is you say.’” I broke from the house angry and disturbed, and retired to meditate on some other mode of action." (Shelley,149)

Esteem

Esteem

“Yet, before I departed, there was a task to perform, on which I shuddered to reflect: I must pack up my chemical instruments: and for that purpose, I must enter the room which has been the scene of my odious work, and I must handle those utensils, the sight of which was sickening to me” (Shelly, 124)

Love and Belonging

“None on earth. I love Elizabeth and look forward to our union with delight. Let the day therefore be fixed; and on it I will consecrate myself,in my life or death, to the happiness of my cousin.” (Shelley,141)

Love and Belonging

Safety Needs

“Those were the last moments of my life during which I enjoyed the feeling of happiness. We passed rapidly along; the sun was hot, but we were sheltered from its rays by a kind of canopy while we enjoyed the beauty of the scene, sometimes on one side of the lake, where we saw Mont Salêve, the pleasant banks of Montalègre, and at a distance, surmounting all, the beautiful Mont Blanc, and the assemblage of snowy mountains that in vain endeavour to emulate her; sometimes coasting the opposite banks, we saw the mighty Jura opposing its dark side to the ambition that would quit its native country, and an almost insurmountable barrier to the invader who should wish to enslave it.” (Shelley,142)

Safety Needs

Physiological Needs

"The work was soon finished: in a few minutes a tumultuous sea rolled between me and my enemy, and I was left drifting on a scattered piece of ice, that was continually lessening, and thus preparing for me a hideous death." (Shelley,154)

Bibical Statment

Bibical Statement

In Frankeinstein Vicor let his lack of responsibilty of the creature that he created harm his friends and families lives. Victor wanted to be like God and create life but in reality he caused more harm than good. We all make mistakes and while it doesnt say in the book Victor asked for forgivness we know that God would have forgiven him. In the Bible God says, "And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25
