WHY RECYCLE?

Recycling can help the environment in so many ways if we do it properly. Plastic is polluting our environment and if we don’t do something to help there may be nothing left. Don’t you want to be able to help?

RECYCLING

INTRODUCTION

WHY WE SHOULD RECYCLE

Recycling can make effective impacts on the environment. If we recycle, we can keep the environment much cleaner because it will reduce the amount of plastic. This will help because 60% of earths landfill is made up of it. Recycling helps keep the environment clean for wildlife and people, reducing waste sent to landfills and reducing the environmental impact of producing new products by using existing materials.

WHY SHOULD WE RECYCLE

HOW NOT RECYCLING CAN EFFECT ANIMALS

Recycling can help the wildlife. Recycling helps the wildlife by reducing the risk of animals eating the recyclable waste or getting caught in it. National Geographic for states that for animals, plastic is turning their habitats into a minefield. It is hard for animals as they must live surrounded by plastic and since there habitat has already been ruined up already, they are forced to think that the plastic is food.

HOW CAN NOT RECYCLING EFFECT ANIMALS

Some animals facing this to a greater extent are sea creatures. This is because of the amount of plastic in the oceans. What happens is the plastic breaks down in the ocean turning into debris meaning the sea animals then eat it thinking it is food it can then cause them suffocation, starvation and drowning. They can also get caught in it causing injuries. In fact, plastic waste kills millions of seabirds a year the same as turtles.
