Recommendation and Future Direction
The results of this research will be useful in action planning for if the utilization of Pen Tab will be proven to have an effect on the students’ performance it can be recommended for other teachers to use it in delivering the lessons. Technical support to teachers through trainings and seminars in using technology tools, applications, platforms like PenTab that they can use in teaching the learners may be conducted.
Omorkulov (2021) the main findings observed at the end of the class, where students familiarized themselves with the principles of connection and using the technique of pen (stylus) on the graphics tablet. Students mastered the techniques of drawing from the simplest elements to more complex tasks. It discussed the practical use of a graphics tablet in modern art education in the context of distant learning.
Patterson (2020), he clearly discussed that Distance learning has come a long way since the correspondence courses of the mid-19th century. More so, he mentioned that though there are pitfalls of online classes but still there are advantages that can be considered. According to him online classes are opportunity. It is s a chance to become more productive since there are fewer distractions.
Contribution and Utilization of the Study
The main contribution of the study is on how quality education maybe still be delivered to the learners by the teachers. The students will find the lesson interesting and the teachers will easily present it just like writing on a black board.
The utilization of the study conducted can be immeasurable experience to the school, learners, teachers and to others.
1. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the data, the following findings are hereby summarized; The level of utilization of using PenTab to online class among SHS students in terms of Features, Ease of Use, Educational Use, and Instructional Use are Occasionally Utilized.
2. The level of integration of using PenTab to online class among SHS students in terms of Features, Ease of Use, Educational Use, and Instructional Use are Occasionally Integrated.
3. The students have a high increment in their posttest scores after being exposed to the PenTab. There is a significant difference on the level of performance of Senior High School students as revealed by their pretest and posttest since the obtained p-value of 0.00 does not exceed at 0.05 level of significance, thus the null hypothesis is rejected.
4. There is a significant relationship between the level of utilization and integration of using PenTab to online teaching class and the level of performance of SHS students as revealed by the pretest and posttest scores in terms of ease of use since the obtained p-value of 0.00 does not exceed at 0.05 level of significance, thus the null hypothesis is rejected.
5. Some of the experiences encountered by the SHS students in the integration and utilization of PenTab in online class are as follows: The PenTab used in some subjects but not in others; students have limited experience with the PenTab; during online class the use of PenTab can adversely affect the students’ focus and attention during lessons; and some of the students expressed their views ironically about the negative influence of PenTab on student–student interaction both in and out of class.
6. The researchers recommended that to keep students engaged in learning, teachers continually look for new, innovative approaches that could improve the quality of learning. PenTab provide a relatively easy, cost-effective solution to increase interaction during online lectures while engaging students, therefore, the researchers highly recommend the use of PenTab in teaching students whether synchronous or asynchronous.
