Kepler was founded in 2012 by a senior team of marketers and technologists. We help clients execute engineered marketing, where every message and ad delivered creates a more personalized and productive relationship between brands and their consumers.

We act as our clients’ agency of record, as their in-house team, or some hybrid of the two. We do this by harnessing data and technology across all paid digital media and data-driven CRM channels.

Our client relationships are based on constructive candor, strategic partnership and absolute transparency, where clients have full visibility on every penny spent and every optimization decision made.

In April 2018, Kepler group was acquired by kyu collective, a strategic operating unit of Hakuhodo DY Holdings. Kepler joined a network of organizations committed to disrupting their respective industries and using creativity as a force for change. As a part of kyu, Kepler continues to do what we do best, but strengthened by the partnership of some of the best creative, design, consulting, and research firms in the world. As our CEO, Rick Greenberg, put it, “Being part of kyu brings us into a group of companies that satisfy a lot more of the modern marketer needs, from brand positioning, product innovation, creative and design, data-science, behavioral economics—those are all areas that kyu has aggregated the best in the business. We can bring integrated partners to our clients to deliver much more of a cohesive solution."

What did joining kyu mean for Kepler employees? Day to day, almost nothing. We work with each other and our clients in the same way we always have. We have autonomy over strategic and financial decisions. But, we also get to collaborate with our sibling companies in exciting ways such as cross-company training and development, partnering to develop and execute a media strategy for IDEO.org projects, brainstorming how to create and sustain an empowered, motivated and happy team.

Toast and Talk is a weekly all-hands meeting led by our CEO to share company-wide updates, celebrate new hires and promotions, provide insight into company financials, business development, and occasionally face off in a friendly Mario Kart competition.

What are Tiger Teams?

At Kepler, our Tiger Teams are responsible for developing company-wide expertise, centralizing and codifying knowledge for cross-team sharing through training, cheat sheets, wiki content, vendor scorecards and client or business development support. Topics range from Diversity & Inclusion, Attribution, Social Listening, Culture, Altruism, Data Privacy, etc.

Kepler University provides our employees with all the critical knowledge and skills they need to excel at Kepler. Phase one courses covers foundational digital marketing concepts and technology for all new employees. Phases two through four provide more detailed and practical training on key topics in media buying and optimization, client and team management, and measurement and analytics. The OI team is home to our expert media traders. They work across biddable media platforms to design and optimize media campaigns that to achieve our clients’ marketing goals. Data-driven insights, curiosity and creativity are at the backbone of this team. They build and managing effective and efficient campaigns from the ground up, while curating the best technology stack for clients and Kepler as a whole.

TDS

The TDS team builds both internal and external tech solutions that make it easier to push, pull and connect data sources, build models and streamline workflow. These engineers build and maintain the Kepler Intelligence Platform, which is both the workflow, data and campaign management foundation of our agency.
