This is a collaborative book written by Italian and Greek partners about CULTURAL HERITAGE in Italy and Greece.
TRULLI OF ALBEROBELLO - ITALY
Trulli are ancient, typical houses of Alberobello in Puglia, in the south of Italy. These buildings are made of white stone of the Murge plateau. Alberobello is a charming tourist village.
The Sassi of Matera are
like a crib. There are ancient and typical houses in the rocks. Matera is a cinema set.
This is the largest royal palace in the world. You can visit about 1200 rooms. Around the palace there is a wonderful park where you can walk for three km.
Villa Adriana,Lazio
In this villa the Adrian Imperator lived. This is an archeological area where can you know roman history.
POMPEI AND ERCOLANO
The remains of Pompei and Ercolano offer the possibility of knowing the life in the ancient Rome. They were buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 After Christ.
In these cities there are sculptures, mosaics, houses, temples, theaters and baths. Every year many tourists come from all over the world to visit this place.
You can visit the medioeval historical center. There are mani high towers and bordery walls.
Florence is in Tuscany. The center of the city is rich of monuments, museums churches and ancient palaces.The most famous monument is "Giotto bell tower".
AMALFI COAST
Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Praiano, Furore, Vietri sul Mare are just some of the 16 villages of the Amalfi Coast, a small piece of land washed by the waters of the sea.
Ravenna is beautiful city where you can visit many churches with lot of paintings and colourful mosaics.
