*Although there are many influencers with different body types sizes, etc, the growth in body dysmorphia and body image issues has grown within teenagers and the way it mentally affects them. The growing rate of influencers on social media and the exposure teenagers have to it, has caused a spark on how toxic and negative being an influencer can be. The content, influencers put out on the internet has become harmful as many young watchers try to aspire to be like them and try to follow in their footsteps. Influencers and their negative content have brought many teens to put their health in danger to try to fit in. As one may think that body dysmorphia and body image issues only applies to girls, there has been a lot of talk on breaking the negative stigma that boys are not affected by social media nor struggle mentally. There has been a fight to bring the needed attention to break the stigma. As men and boys are also affected as they also feel the constant pressure to look like the new trend or have the ideal "hot guy" body type or hairstyle. As much as girls struggle with the negative aspects that social media influencers build their brand around, it also affects guys just as much.
