In the TSheets app, each client has a job code.
Make sure you select the correct job code, and clock in and out as scheduled.
4. Identify your shift’s “Job Code” by searching for the company name and selecting the spot you will spin.
5. Clock in to TSheets exactly at your start time.
If you don’t see your Job Code listed, check in for any job code and contact your manager.
Clocked in!
Choose the right job code!
6. If you have to leave your corner at any time,
enter a note into TSheets when you leave your corner.
7. If you notice something wrong, leave a note stating the problem at the end of the day.
8. After you clock out of TSheets at the end of a shift, click on the profile icon on the top left corner of the app, then click “Sync now” to verify that all of the updates you made and data for the day is logged and sent to your manager.
Syncing the app should only take about 10 seconds.
1. Be sure that the timesheet for your shift states the time you worked.
If the times are incorrect, your shifts can be edited by clicking on the specific shift in the “Timesheets” tab at the bottom of your cellphone app.
2. Go to the “Timesheets” tab at the bottom of your TSheets cell phone app then click on “Submit Time”.
Simply press the “Submit” button for the day’s shift to be sent for payroll.
3. Your shifts will be check marked blue once you are on the “Submit Time” page.
Remember : Only select the shift for the current day and be sure no future days are selected as it will prevent you from logging into TSheets in the future.
You can submit your timesheet in a variety of ways if your TSheets data is not accurate.
Please also use this method if you forgot to clock in, forgot to clock out,
clocked in too early, or clocked out too late.
Use these options below.
a. Submit an electronic timesheet on the TSheets site manually using the link here:
aarrowsignspinners.tsheets.com/page/login.
b. Contact your manager and give them your time manually.
c. Contact your manager and ask for a paper timesheet.
Remember, TSheets is available as a more convenient way to track your time. It is not mandatory, but we do need you to follow at least one of the above methods in order to submit your time and pay you accurately. We take accurate pay very seriously, and we need your help to make sure you get paid for every shift.

AArrow is committed to protecting the safety, health, and well-being of its employees and every person who comes into contact with our services and daily operations. Recognizing that drug and alcohol abuse pose a direct and significant threat to this goal, we’re committed to ensuring a substance-free work environment. AArrow therefore strictly prohibits the illicit use, possession, sale, conveyance, distribution, or manufacture of illegal drugs, intoxicants, or controlled substances including marijuana and alcohol in the workplace or during local operations. Any violation of this policy will result in an immediate assessment with HR, and may conclude with adverse employment action up to and including termination. Employees should address any concerns or questions about the use of a particular prescribed medication before using or bringing it to the workplace.
While all AArrow employees are welcome to participate in Social Media, we expect everyone who participates in online commentary to understand and follow these simple but important guidelines.
○ Never represent yourself or AArrow in a false or misleading way. All statements must be true and not misleading; all claims must be substantiated prior to posting them.
○ Post meaningful, respectful comments — in other words, please, no negativity and no remarks that are off-topic or offensive.
○ Use common sense and common courtesy: for example, it’s best to ask permission to publish or report on conversations that are meant to be private or internal to AArrow. Make sure your efforts to be transparent don't violate AArrow’s privacy, confidentiality, and legal guidelines for external commercial speech.
○ Please never comment on anything related to legal matters, insurance matters, employee payment issues, client payment issues, our sign edging process, or any other matters others in the company might consider their private information. Contact corporate if you are unsure if your comments fall into these categories.
AArrow strives to provide a work environment free of sexual harassment, intimidation, or exploitation. Where sexual harassment (or any type of harassment) has occurred, management will act to stop the harassment, prevent its recurrence, and discipline and/or take other appropriate action for all parties involved. This policy applies to all recruits, active and inactive AArrow Sign Spinners and all AArrow Managers.
What Is Sexual Harassment?
Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other visual, verbal,
or physical conduct of sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when:
A. It is implicitly or explicitly suggested that submission to or rejection of the conduct will be a factor
in employment decisions or evaluations, or permission to participate in a work activity.
B. The conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual’s
work performance or creating an intimidating or hostile work environment.
Advice & Consultation
Consultation is available for anyone who wants to discuss issues related to sexual harassment, whether or not "harassment" actually has occurred or the person seeking information is a complainant, a person who believes their own actions may be the subject of criticism (even if unwarranted), or a third party. Often there is a desire that a consultation be confidential or "off the record." This can usually be achieved when individuals discuss concerns about sexual harassment without identifying the other persons involved, and sometimes even without identifying themselves. Confidential consultations about sexual harassment are available by contacting HR@myaarrow.com, or Larry Fuller @951.310.6578 and larryfuller@aarrowads.com
AArrow's schedule is Google-enabled, and easily viewable on any computer, tablet, or phone.
The schedule includes important information for every shift.
Client Name and Address
Start and End Times, Break Times
Spinner's Intersection
Any special instructions
The schedule also has a tab labeled "Spinformation". You can find all of the information covered in this orientation, as well as forms, state and federal notices.
To ensure that our staffing and operational needs are met at all times, the AArrow Sign Spinners reserve the right to grant requests for time off at its discretion. Employees must allow a minimum of 15 days notice for requesting time off the schedule, and the requested days are not approved until it’s been authorized by the local General Manager. The General Manager will authorize or deny your request no later than 3 business days after the request is made.
2. Press Send on the newly composed email that opens up.
The RSVP email contains pre-populated information.
Do not change or modify the email in any way, just press Send.
It’s that simple!
If you receive a shift invite on a day that you have previously requested off, click the NO link in the email, then send the email that is generated.
When will I receive notifications?
You will receive notification messages any time
you are scheduled for a new shift, your shift has been modified,
or if the shift you had been scheduled for gets canceled.
The subject line of the email will indicate what the notification is for.
Can I RSVP on my phone?
Yes! Follow the same 2-step process.
Press the YES or NO link in the email you receive,
then press Send on the RSVP email that opens.
You will also receive a morning confirmation request the morning of your shift between 5-6 AM.
You must also respond to this morning confirmation request using the same 2-step process.
You are expected to reply to your morning confirmation a minimum of one hour before the beginning of your shift, or an hour before your scheduled meeting/departure time.
If you do not reply to your morning confirmation, a manager will attempt to replace you on the schedule. In the event a backup arrives to the location, the backup will be allowed to decide if they will complete the shift or leave.
Failure to confirm shifts will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
If for any reason you are unable
to fill a shift you have been
scheduled and confirmed for,
contact your manager immediately.
This is an example, make sure to tell them the correct shift times.
"Hi, my name is *YOUR NAME* and I'm your sign spinner for today!
All I need from you is my sign and our sign in sheet.
My shift is from 11 to 4 today, with a short break from 1:30 to 2.
I'm gonna get out there and bring some people in for you!"
"I'm done for today. The people out there were really responding, hopefully we got some traffic in here for you. Where would you like me to put this sign? Thank you so much!"
When entering a client’s office, you must be in uniform, look professional and clean, and make sure your cell-phone ringer or any music is muted.
You should walk in with a smile on your face and greet the client immediately. Introduce yourself with your name and identify yourself as their “AArrow Sign Spinner” for the day. Politely ask for the sign, do not follow store employees into the back unless invited.
If the client representative is busy with customers, patiently wait for a few moments until you have a chance to introduce yourself. Do not wait more than 5 minutes - if you cannot find the agent or they are taking longer than 5 minutes, retrieve the sign and make sure to introduce yourself at the end of the day.
Treat our client's locations with the highest respect.
Food - Sometimes our clients will have food and drinks on display for their prospective clients. Those items were prepared specifically for those people, so we should not ask for them. However, clients may offer you some, and it is OK for you to accept them when offered. Remember to be modest, and consider that the offer is just for that moment and does not apply in the future.
Amenities - The client’s office may have televisions, games, space for storage, and will certainly have resources like electrical outlets, but we are not there to utilize any of those. Although it may seem harmless, charging your phone in their office or asking to leave a backpack with them is intrusive to their workspace and operations. If you need to ever charge your phone then consider another business like a coffee shop or restaurant, and always keep your possessions with you.
Loitering - As mentioned previously, we’re there to spin the sign, and should vacate our clients’ premises immediately upon returning the sign after a shift so we don’t intrude in their space. That goes for inside the office or standing in front of their door outside.
Do not say or do anything that could be considered flirting towards any client employees or co-workers.
-A gallon of water minimum
-Fully Charged Phone
-Earbud/In Ear headphones are encouraged
-Premade playlists of your favorite songs
-Lunch or Lunch Money
-Deodorant
-Sunscreen
-Watch
-Light Jacket for wind or rain
-Several of your manager's business cards
Never spin in the street!
Always be aware of your surroundings and maintain a safe distance
from the curb and all cars, people, and property.
If a pedestrian is within 10 feet of you, stop spinning immediately,
remove your headphones, greet them verbally, and create distance.
Don't spin again until they are a safe distance away.
Pedestrians, bicycles, skateboards all travel at different speeds.
Make sure you are always checking over both shoulders and
freezing the sign with a safe amount of time to provide
a safe and respectful path. Never block anyone from passing you.
If you think it might be risky at all, don't do it.
Safety always comes first.
Although it’s a break, there still are a couple things to be concerned about like where you take you take your break and your time management.
Where You Go -
Never take your break on the corner.
Be considerate of how far you travel from the corner.
Make sure you are able to return to your corner within the alloted break time.
What You Do -
Eat, drink, stretch, and rest!
Be sure that you have the proper nutrition and hydration to successfully complete your shift.
If you need to take an unscheduled break (use bathroom, get supplies, weather fatigue), contact your manager immediately. Note the time you leave and return to the corner, and write it in the notes section of your TSheets shift.
You are able to use the restroom at the client's office if
there are no other reasonable options nearby, but please
be respectful and professional at all times when doing so.
Unreported or unapproved breaks will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Managers will give you a performance audit during most of your shifts.
This audit is graded on a scale from 0-100, and evaluates 20 different aspects of your performance. like how effectively you advertise, the creativity of your tricks, your energy, and appearance. You can review all of your audit scores in your market's scheduling document.
The auditor will address you after every audit to review your scores.
They will explain where you excel and give some tips to improve your skills as needed.
Your sign needs to go wherever you go, so keep it close and in sight. Never leave it on the corner or outside a restaurant because people may steal or vandalize it. If you’re going to lean it on a nearby wall or chair, always lean it horizontally on the ground instead of standing up, to prevent the risk of it falling on something or warping from gravity.
Heat and Cold are to be expected depending on your market,
and you are expected to take appropriate measures accordingly.
(Ice water and cooler in heat, layers and cold weather gear in cold)
Report weather hazards or extreme heat conditions to your GM if they are impeding your performance or if it ever feels unsafe for any reason. Sometimes a short break off the corner may be enough time for inclimate conditions to subside, but if the weather does not improve the shift may be canceled.
You still must contact your GM before leaving the corner for any reason.
Sign spinners are at risk of heat-related illnesses due to exposure to hot and humid environments.
The risk of heat-related illness becomes greater as the weather gets hotter and more humid,
especially for new sign spinners and spinners who are not adapted to hot and/or humid environments.
Water Tips
● Bring at least a gallon of water to every shift.
● Choose water over sugary and/or caffeinated drinks, as they may lead to dehydration.
● Consider drinking extra water leading up to a shift to increase hydration
● Fluid intake should not exceed 6 cups per hour or 3 gallons per day under most circumstances
Sun Exposure
● Sunburn reduces the body’s ability to release heat, making the body more susceptible to heat-related illness
● Repeated overexposure to sunlight leads to skin cancer
If you have any symptoms of heat related illness, let your GM know immediately and take cooling measures. Treating milder symptoms early can prevent a more serious emergency. Look out for signs and symptoms of heat-related illnesses in each other. Spinners may not recognize their own signs and symptoms. Call 911 immediately if someone loses consciousness or appears confused or uncoordinated. These are signs of possible heat stroke. Heat stroke is fatal if not treated immediately.
If anything happens on your shift that is out of the ordinary, makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe in any way, or is just something you would like to communicate to management formally, please fill out the Incident Report Form which can be found in the Sp-information Tab of your schedule.
Be advised that there is a strict policy protecting whistle-blowers against retaliation for reporting incidents, and you may request anonymity if you prefer.
Contact your GM and fill out an Incident Report form immediately if you are injured during a shift. If you need medical attention, a manager will provide you and/or the facility treating you with our Worker's Compensation information. You can also find more information in the "Spinformation" tab of your local schedule.
If an emergency vehicle is approaching your intersection
with its sirens and lights on, stop spinning immediately and
rest the sign on its butt behind your back with the sign pointing to the sky.
Do not resume spinning until the vehicle has completely passed the intersection and normal traffic resumes.
If there is a traffic accident or police stop on your corner,
contact your manager immediately.
The best way to prevent a conflict with a pedestrian is to keep your dialogue short and neutral.
If you ever feel threatened on the corner, leave the corner.
Go to a public area with other people around.
Do not engage or argue with the harasser.
Contact your manager immediately.
If the harassment is being repeated or is exceptionally harmful to your well-being, vacate the corner and notify your manager, who will then help you determine how to appropriately respond. Sometimes a corner change is the solution; in some cases authorities should be contacted.
Your actions directly impact your teammates.
