Relations in the begining

  • Pakistan choose to be ally with west rather then with the communists powers which was withinn short distance form the northern borders.
  • The Soviet Union was enemies with USA while Pakistan was getting supplies from them.

Reason of relation weakening:

  • USA was interested in having alliance with india, which made was great oportunity for the Soviet union to invite Liaqat ali khan to Moscow.
  • The invitation alarmed USA so they immediatly invited him to Washington, which he accepted.
  • Due to this Moscow-Pakistan relation suffered.
