Tourism and development

A strip of Sardinia

The coastal strip

The beaches and surrounding areas are a "nature sanctuary". Sandy bottoms and expanses of posidonia are populated by marine animals: ideal for snorkeling and underwater photography, thanks also to the presence of wrecks of all ages. Sailing and diving are permitted in the "open" areas. In the nearby hinterland, the sand dunes give way to the Cabras Ponds, a marshy ecosystem populated by the greater flamingo.
