Culture is what gives us meaning, makes us unique, and encourages us to share. Cultural diversity, for it to present its benefits, needs to be in an inclusive environment with people who are ready to get involved and collaborate with people from all over the world without having prejudices, stereotypes, and a closed mind. Build a truly inclusive work environment in which all employees have equal growth opportunities and are challenged to achieve their goals, regardless of their background or role in the company.
Cultural diversity allows employees who come from different countries to meet one another. Each employee can bring a part of their culture to the intent of the company and use it to improve the level and quality of production.
Coming into contact with cultures different from our own helps us grow mentally, and by always having an open mind. We can come out of ignorance and discover interesting new things that can offer us a new perspective.
In many cases, managing cultural diversity in the company is also beneficial to the company itself.
The benefits that are increased can be:
This happens because workers with diverse backgrounds can give teams skills and experiences that contribute to improved work performance and the development of innovative ideas.

In global organizations, whose operations include business relationships and affiliations in other countries, understanding cultural differences is critical to successful business partnerships. Employees need to be aware of the importance of respecting the cultural differences of others, and employers can offer training to increase awareness and better equip employees to operate in a diverse work environment. Recognizing and respecting cultural differences in the workplace is essential to a company's organizational structure and the health of its employees. Training is essential to help employees with diverse backgrounds understand and respect each other's differences so that they learn to work together and achieve the company's goals. Issues such as differences in pay or different treatment of employees due to cultural differences could be perceived as discrimination.
Lack of training and knowledge fuels a culture of prejudice and stereotypes preventing cultural diversity from being seen as a potential asset.
Foreign employees bring language and cultural skills facilitating growth in existing markets and entry into new ones for companies.
Cultural diversity brings new points of view and innovative ideas. The course serves as a way for all employees to acquire knowledge and information. Learning new things and "leaving behind" ignorance helps us fight stereotypes and prejudices. What is the best way to gain awareness at work than a course on cultural diversity? This course, done properly, helps employees work in a healthy environment and promotes company expansion and improvement.
According to research by sociologists, Dobbin and Kalev, asking people to abandon stereotypes may encourage people to hold on to them more tightly. Participants often react to diversity training with hostility, resistance, confusion, and anger. Some people feel more animosity toward other groups after diversity training. Sometimes, people even reduce their support for diversity after diversity training because they fear that leaders will not treat them fairly. People react negatively when they feel external control over their thoughts and behaviors.
In other words, people are more open to diversity initiatives when they think it is their idea
I had the opportunity to learn that only 3.1% of U.S. tech workers are black, and Silicon Valley's demographics are only 3% black.
In Silicon Valley, about 1% of tech entrepreneurs are black, while black Americans are severely underrepresented in the leadership positions of the most influential tech companies. As evidence of this, Fast Company reported in 2017 that there were fewer women of color in the tech sector than in 2007.

I chose this topic because I am interested in researching the effectiveness of this training, method of teaching, and the tools that are offered to be able to make various cultures mesh together in the same workplace.
I was born into a multicultural family and I value cultural diversity, I think all people should accept that no culture is better than another.
I think a training to understand cultural diversity is essential in the business world, and I think the lack of this course can lead to a company not having a successful business.
We can benefit from other cultures, grow, and enrich our minds with interesting information that can help us in social interactions and become better people.
