Volunteering connects me to the world
Volunteering and using my time to help the world connects me to it. I get to see a lot of different parts of the world and communities but also it leaves a lasting impact in that place. I was in costa rica volunteering for rural communites and coast lines. I cleaned up part of the Appalachain trail. I am also a blood donor. All of these things connect me to the world and impact it and other people

180 days every year since I was 2, I have been goint to some sort of educational center so it has been a minute. Although I have not remembered many consepts, but I do remember learning about being respectful of others and listening to others stories.

Everyday like most people in this generation I use social media. I manely use social media to talk with my friends and find out about things going on in the world. I get to learn about how people live, and what is going on in different countries and my own country from just a short video being shared to tiktok. Through does videos I can connect with people that live accross the globe from me.
School has thought me the most important thing to be able to connect with the world, an open mind. You can never connect with someone from somewhere else or to anyone if you come in with biasis. The reason why connecting with the world for me is possible is because of my open mind.

I am an immigrant and my parents were immigrants before I was born. It is a little complicated, I was born in Montreal Canada to 2 french parents, meaning I never really had family around and it became even worst when I moved here. But friends became family, friends who were from everywhere around the world. One of those family being a family from Syria.
I have traveled a lot. I have seen many different cultures and people that helped me understant why the world is. It made me connect with different people all over the world.
Holidays
Like the family we became friends with, we did not really have family to spend the holidays with them. Over the years we grew closer and closer and now we are family. Through out those years they introduced me to their syrian culutre. The experience I went through and that many people have in common helped me connect with people of different cultures and being exposed by them connected me to the different parts of the world.

This is a picture of one of my first trips. My family and I went to Taxco Mexico to visit family friend and visited a local school. Even though I was a baby this is an example of me connecting with different culutres and learning from them.
