Introduction

South Africa is the south part of Africa, It contains 6 million people, about the 23rd world's population.

It has many cultures, languages and religions. It recognizes 11 languages, The 4th highest number in the world!

Culture

South Africa has a widespread of cultures, religions and languages.

The most popular of them:

Kwaito: a popular culture music for black people, it has taken over radios, televisions and magazines.

Languages

South Africa has many languages

The most notable ones are:

1.) Zulu

2.) Xhosa

3.) Afrikaans

4.) English

5.) Pedi

Even though English is recognized as the language of science, it's the 4th commonly used language in South Africa.

Religions

South Africa has many religions.

The most popular are:

1.) Christians at 73.2 %

2.) Atheism at 14.9 %

3.) Catholics at 7.4 %

4.) Islam at 1.7 %

5.) Hinduism at 1.1 %

6.) Any other religion at 1.7 %

South Africa is an amazing place with lots of great stuff.

Short summary

South Africa was a victim to colonialism much like many African

nations, at first they were dominated by Zulus, later the dutch entered south Africa to take its spices and left, after that the british came in and stayed for a few years, setting up a apartheid state in it like they did to Rhodesia (Zimbabwe currently) with black and white being separated and the blacks were treated worse most of the time, later Nelson Mandela liberated the nation of racism, forming the current south Africa we know and love
