Recognition Programs

We know that our employees are the foundations of our success - from the visionary individuals who founded this company to the dedicated team members who carry on the tradition.

ALLDATA takes pride in hiring skilled and committed people who meet the challenges of each day and regularly exceed expectations. Frequently team members go above and beyond and reach a higher level of excellence - a level that demands special recognition.

Exceptional performance is acknowledged in four categories:

  • Founder's Club - A group of employees who create a program that has a significant impact on ALLDATA operations, growth or develoment
  • President's Club - The definition of President's Club is to "display leadership and to perform his or her job and company-related activities that are conspicuously above and beyond what is reasonably expected during the 6 or so months preceding the nomination, such as 1) improve our customers lives 2) sustain a healthy global aftermarket 3) invest in our employees 4) deliver exceptional business performance
  • Extra Miler - Extra Miler awards are given to employees who demonstrate "outstanding performance" and go the extra mile in the performance of their job or in helping a customer or fellow employee. An extra miler demonstrates conduct that goes beyond the general duties that define their jobs including receiving recognition from an internal or external customer because of excellent service; going out of their way to help another department meet customer demands; searching for solutions to customers' troubles; developing a new idea to support ALLDATA's operating principles and growth traits
  • WITTDTJR (What it takes to do the job right!) - Informal and flexible - may apply to many different situations

GENERAL/FYI

Cubicle Office Etiquette and Guidelines

In today's business world, the cubicle has become the standard business configuration. The cube has become our home away from home. Because cubes are a more open environment, we need to be aware of others around us in their use.

Best practice for proper cubicle etiquette:

  • Decorate tastefully
  • Be cautious with plants
  • Respect privacy of others
  • Beware of scents
  • If you are ill, stay home
  • Don't eat foods with strong odors at your desk
  • Take care of personal business elsewhere
  • Talk softly

A good rule of thumb for cubicle etiquette is that if it bothers you when others do it, avoid doing it yourself. The key here is to be respectful and sensitive to others use work with and to the environment we work in. As the old saying goes "It is better to be a part of the solution than a part of the problem."

Questions? Please contact Human Resources

Respect in the Workplace

  • ALLDATA strives to create an environment in which every AutoZoner, vendor, applicant and customer is treated fairly and with dignity and respect regardless of race, sex, gender, age, religion, physical ability, sexual orientation or any other perceived difference.
  • ALLDATA is committed to seek our talented, diverse people, encouraging them to work to their full potential, valuing their contributions and providing equal opportunities in all aspects of employment.
  • ALLDATA has zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment or retaliation against AutoZoners/applicants for any reason.
  • ALLDATA does not tolerate unlawful harassment of any nature. ALLDATA is committed to providing a workplace that is respectful and free from all forms of unlawful harassment. ALLDATA's commitment to fairness and mutual respect precludes unlawful harassment of, or by, AutoZoners, customers, vendors or candidates for employment. ALLDATA expects that all relationships among persons in the work environment are business-like and free of bias, prejudice and unlawful harassment.
  • ALLDATA embraces "Equal Employment Opportunity" (EEO)/CA-FEHA. This policy applies to recruiting, hiring training, promotions, compensation, benefits, transfers, education, and all other aspects of employment with the company. All employment decisions are based on job-related requirements.

Problem Solving Procedure

ALLDATA's commitment to the work environment:

  • ALLDATA is committed to providing the best possible working conditions for its AutoZoners and strives to ensure fair and honest treatment of all AutoZoners. Part of this commitment is encouraging an open and frank atmosphere in which any problem, complaint, suggestion or question receives a timely response.

Expectation:

  • Managers, supervisors and AutoZoners are expected to treat each other with mutual respect.

Concerns and complaints affecting job performance or work environment:

  • AutoZoners are encouraged to bring concerns and complaints that affect their job performance or work environment to the attention of their immediate manager/supervisor, director or ALLDATA Human Resources

Problem Solving Procedure

Continued...

Investigations: Cooperation and confidentiality:

  • Depending on the nature of a complaint, it may become necessary for AutoZone to conduct an investigation. In order for an investigation to work and to be fair to all concerned, Autozone must be confident that we have obtained relevant information and that all such information is accurate and truthful. The unauthorized divulging or sharing of information obtained during an investigation can seriously undermine AutoZone's ability to obtain all needed relevant and truthful information from all participants. Therefore, AutoZoners are required to participate in an investigation when asked.

Attendance

Rationale:

When an AutoZoner is absent or late for work, it creates a hardship for other AutoZoners and jeopardizes ALLDATA's customer service. Failure to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance at work jeopardizes an AutoZoner's ability to do their job effectively. For this reason, regular and consistent attendance at work is required to consistently meet expectations for individual work performance.

Attendance:

ALLDATA required AutoZoners to:

  • Report for work on time
  • Work all scheduled hours
  • Attend periodic meetings when scheduled
  • Notify management at least 1 hour before their scheduled start time if absent, tardy or leaving early
  • Provide a reason for absence or tardiness
  • Provide verification of absence upon request, such as a doctor's note.

Important: Notification to anyone other than a manager or Human Resources is considered no notification

  • Email Usage
  • Email content reflects upon AutoZoners and ALLDATA. Be protective, professional and respectful when using email.
  • Keep internet access professional
  • Business use is encouraged
  • Personal use of internet o.k. during non-business hours

  • Instant messaging
