In addition to exploring "island" metaphorically, we wanted to also study actual islands too!
Islands of Exile
We learned to use Prezi by exploring and sharing about famous islands of exile around the world...

Avian Postcards
We designed postcards with original art depicting birds of the Farallones
Knitting Blankets
We started a band project to knit blankets to donate to a non-profit group that supports traumatized children
Ozias taught us knife safety and how to whittle wood
Whittling Wood Animals
Inspired by Inuit art, we are learning to whittle wooden animals, choosing species found at the Farallones
