Marie takes her daughter sara to a lab facility after the mum got a shock of loosing her daughter. Marie and sara walk into a dull blank room, where a professor welcomes them warmly. The professor sits sara down infront of a cartoon and brings the mum over to her desk. She explains to marie on how it works and how it is permenant. The professor continues to insert the system chip in her cranium. The professor introduces the tablet that allows the mum to view the daughter's POV and turns on a protecting sensor. This later on will have great regret for the mum
After the unstable mother put thr tablet away she cant know for sure where her daughter is. Sara and her friends told all the parents that they are all going to a friends house to watch the breakfast club. When in reality she is going to a fire place near the lake. The mum started to ring all of the parents to confirm they are doing what they say they are doing. Mum started started to figure out there is no sleepover and they were up to something. She continuers to call the daugters phone who wont pick up. At this point the mum is freaking out about her daugters location. She eventually gives in and digs out the tablet/symbol of distrust to her daughter.
In this scene the mother threatens the boyfriend, if he is seen with her again she will share the video of them having sexy time. in this scene we see the effect that the ipad and the chip is having on the mother, making her really save keeping of her daughter. The mother is then seen not talking with the daughter, this creates more of a disconnected relationship and not resulting things.

Marie and her daughter Sara visit a park, then when marie is having a conversation with a friend she looses sight of Sara. The scene cuts to a close up of Marie, showing the worry that a parent has when loosing their child. The intense beating sound that plays and the repetition of the mother shouting: Sara!" shows her distress with the loss of her child. This event leads to her applying for the trial period for the Arkangel implant, allowing her to keep track of her daughter.

After the mum finds out she takes her to the psychiatrist, this scene has a close-up of the mum showing that she has realised what she has done. The next scene where Sara is stepping down the stairs after the technology has been turned off it shows how she is stepping into the world by herself for the first time showing how long she has had to go through with this. The montage after shows more character development of Sara as she grows on and slowly starts to like the dog.
